Keynote Speakers

 

Rev. Dr. Hunter Farrell

has been the Director of the General Assembly Mission Council’s World Mission since August 1, 2007. 

He served as a PCUSA missionary in Africa and South America including Zaire, the Democratic

Republic of the Congo and prior to taking his position at the PCUSA National Church level, Hunter and

 his wife, Ruth, served for a decade as mission co-workers in Lima, Peru. Dr. Farrell continues to do

great work for GAMC bringing together the energy, creativity, resources, and commitment of thousands

of congregations across the Church.

 

 

Dr. John Azumah

is Professor of World Christianity and Islam at Columbia Theological Seminary.  In addition

 to his work as a scholar, Azumah is a an ordained minister of the Presbyterian Church

of Ghana and has served as a pastor, church planter and missionary.  He received his Ph.D.

in Islamics and Christian-Muslim relations at the University of Birmingham, UK. Before taking

up his new position at CTS, Dr. Azumah was the Director for the Centre for Islam and

Christian-Muslim Relations of the London School of Theology, London – UK..

 

 

Chris Haw

is a carpenter, painter, theologian and potter.  Haw, his baby Simon, and wife Cassie are members of

Camden Houses, a small Christian community in Camden, NJ. He teaches Religious Studies at Cabrini College. 

Haw co-authored the book Jesus for President with Shane Claiborne, is working on a  book about his conversion

to Catholicism, and has been interviewed in Christianity Today, Sojourners, CNN, and Al-Jazeera and was featured

in the DVD series “Another World Is Possible” and the documentary The Ordinary Radicals.
